The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Legend of Zelda Series

So many of you may have probably seen my Link sketches I've done recently, well I'm actually going to be finishing one now.

My idea is to start a series of character redesigns based on the Legend of Zelda series. Many of you have given me lots of positive feedback when it comes to my LoZ fanart so this is sorta for you guys aswell.

for an example of what I'm thinking look at

's batman series

Basically about waist up of each character no special background, just emphasizing hopefully a dynamic informative yet simple pose. This will also be good for me to practice facial expressions and such.

So here's where you guys come in. Obviously I'm doing Link first, but what other characters from the LoZ world would you like to see next? my only criteria at the moment is that the character must be from Ocarina of Time and later, I'm not as familiar with the older games so I probably wouldn't do the characters justice. (maybe in the future once I run out of current characters.)

I would like 2 more suggestions so just lemme know who you want to see in a reply to this journal.

You've done the Fierce Deity once before; I'd love to see you take another shot at him. I'd have to echo the votes for Dark Link as well.

I'd also like to see you tackle one of the younger Links, like the Wind Waker or Minish Cap design. And, of course, Vaati.

Sheik. One of my all time favorite characters. XD But then you'd have to decide if you want to do a male or female focus on... it.

I was always so annoyed when I looked in the guidebook and it referred to Sheik as 'he.' I mean, really...

Volvagia was my favorite boss, too, but he's not exactly a person.

And maybe some of Link's old village friends. Like... the girl. Whose name I've forgotten. Sarai? I can't remember, oh I should be shot. XD
