Hey, Mr. Talbott, can I pick your brain for a moment? Your art is what inspired me to completely work my Nephilim demigod protectors as not only concepts, but as real characters in the universe I am working on for a novel. I keep playing around with their armor, wanting to make it like yours, but going instead with my own "comic book" design so that I am not copying you. BUT, I'm having a devil of a time (no pun intended) coming up with the proper colors. I wanted to do teal at first, but when I commissioned the Nephilim king nothing about him looked right with the teal armor. What colors do you prefer to see on angel warriors? What colors truly blend together instead of combat to make the work like a jumbled mess of random paint splashes?
Well typically I prefer bright light colors like whites cremes light blues and greens, and mostly golds for angels. typically in color theory you have your complementary color schemes (colors on opposing sides of the color wheel) and your analagous color schemes. (colors that sit next to each other on the color wheel). if you want to use teal, that is bluegreen, so the complement would be Orangered. Analagous colors would be green and blue or if you push it a bit farther, yellowgreen and blueviolet.
Too bad it's fictional. But yeah, nice work, other than the obviously incorrect portrayal of Lucifer's rebels, as they were also angels who were sick of being treated like slaves.
Uh... no. Lucifer and his followers rebelled because they wanted Lucifer on the throne, and for him to rule over the Earth. They wanted us to be puppets, but apparently you're FOR being a power-hungry fallen angel's puppet.
