This is the first round of experimentation I've started in my attempt to merge my two styles. So far it's been accepted fairly well, but I plan to do a few more pieces soon to see if I can refine it a bit.
This is a superb merging of the linear style with the rendered forms. It evokes some really solid WPA/1930s socialist style art, with the graphic planes of the face and almost abstract framing of the landscape. Your value skills are what really allow it all to hang together, though, and not become a muddled curvilinear stew. Plus, archers are cool.
Maybe using thicker linework for silhouette forms of the figure and thinner lines within the figure. Right now all your lines are feeling a bit samey. I really like this direction, certainly something more unique than most of whats on the market today.
Thanks dude, yeah I'm very much open to experimentation with this. Actually got another one in this style I just finished the pencils for so I'll try out your suggestion in the vector line stage.
