This was an exercise to see how much depth I could pull off with my painting, and just to see how well I could paint in general. I did the same thing last year with these results. [link]
This unlike usual was all digital, no pencil lines on paper. I'm planning on doing a mix for the future.
Yea! I like about everything on this picture... models, shadows, colors, how you made wood a sword.. a pose you chose... very good style and quality!!!!
At first I could barely believe it was a Wes Talbott's piece. Although I really learned to love your almost "cartoonish" style of drawing, I think you successfully managed to explore a whole new style. Which is possibly one of the MOST difficult tasks within art. Some traits are inescapably yours, the boots and the hands give it away. But the armor and specially the face have absolutely blown me away.
New, refreshing and superb. But at the same time, still the same old Sephyrus.
Nuff ego tripping, You can still get better. Your BG painting has improved a lot, but it still has a ways to go to catch up to your characters. Don't level off just cus there all going nuts on this one. It was fun watching this being made though (when your bro wasn't angry about skype fragging the internet anyway)
