a painting done for class, trying to paint more women for my portfolio.

we had to choose from 4 starting words to come up with ideas I picked "Pinup" because I thought it would be interesting to depict an older woman completely covered in armor but still make her attractive, but in a less blatantly sexual way.

This awesome painting has caused me to change the way I think about women in fantasy art. It's good to see the subject treated in a grown up way, and not just over-sexualized vixens designed to appeal to teenage boys. I am going to look for this sort of thing when I start to add more artwork to the website for the game I am designing.

I'm in love with this. And besides the armor, I love the detail on the sword, particularly the pommel and the wrappings around the scabbard.

Beautiful. And I like the concept...something different than a female warrior in a bikini with her breasts hanging out. The high-heels...well, maybe not the most practical thing for a suit of armor, but we'll let it go because the picture is so great :). The background's cool; it looks like a graveyard, like she's just come out of a grim battle.

BTW, you should submit this to #Real-Armored-Women. I just found the group a few days ago.
