Id like to see you experiment more with cast shadows, they can give a character much more depth and believability. Im messing around with them myself, pretty fun
Like, having a more dramtic light sourse, so that part of the character is covered in a shadow from part of their outfit or weapon. Say if you had a character with a cape, have the light source behind them, so a large part of the character would be in shadow from the cape, thats just a basic example.
